How much lift?

I heard that all Camaros except the ZL1 make lift at higher speeds...

arethere any charts out there that show you how much lift is being produced and at what speed?

Well at 155, you better hold on to the steering wheel and hope a good strong cross wind doesn't come. Otherwise you're probably going to be headed towards a ditch.

I did feel awfully stable at 140 though... Like in most other cars 100+ will get the rattles, quivers, and jerks... It was scary how stable the camaro was... Might be the 4000 pounds keeping us down?

At 150 the only thing lifting was my hood, but that will be fixed when I replace it or put on hex vents, not sure which way I want to go yet.

Hmm, didn't realize there would be lift produced over the hood... anyone want to give a quick explanation?

One of the reasons they added the hood vent on the 2014, helps channel the air coming in the front of the car out the top, reducing front end lift. Same reason the ZL1, the Shelby Mustang and the C7 corvette have them.

Don't know how much but 155 stock you could tell it was lighter than 100. With the ZL1 conversion no lifting and ready for more at 160. I did the ZL1 conversion and Hennessey at the same time.

I think I heard 200 pounds of lift for a standard SS up around 150-160ish MPH where the zl1 makes downforce of ¿100?pounds

Right for the SS , but 65 pounds for the ZL1. And at 150 MpH.

200 pounds of lift isn't that bad... No where close to an "unstable" car

On the other hand, that downforce is pretty impressive.... Guess the ZL1 hugs the road pretty damn tightly
