I was already near the back, but I did the same! I missed the Proving Grounds last year, but hope we revisit this year. What do you think? Also, I'm in some preliminary talks to have a 5th Gen meet in Oklahoma at Pops on Rt 66 right outside Edmond. You game?

I went to the Camaro5 Fest last year and was thinking of not going this year, but if this becomes reality.... I would be there in a heartbeat.

I had parade laps with my 69 SS396 Camaro and my 02 Camaro SS at Indy. I've had my 69 SS, my 83 Z28 and my 97 Z28 on the Pocono Raceway. I've had my 02 SS and my 2010 SS on the Michigan Int. Raceway. I have pictures of all of them on the tracks. It always was a neat experience.

In 1991 after a car show in the infield, somebody in a 1970 Chevelle SS and I ( in a 1970 442 Oldmobile ) went out on the track. No one was around... We did 5 super hot laps ..wide open all the way around. Drafting down the front stretch running 130 and having fun. Then the fun stopped. Officials waved us over and chewed us out and said to leave. My comment ... hey you ought to race stock cars on this track.. a year and a half later NASCAR was tire testing and in 1994 ran the first BrickYard race. BTW.. when I pulled off the track to talk with the other guy, my front right tire was almost rubbed off and the steel belts were showing. But it was worth it.
