Nope... It's just a Plain leather or suede knob ( I have one of each I switch to the suede knob for racing, leather for everyday driving)

The control itself isn't excessively long, it is proportional to the throw (which is a problem I have with the aftermarket hurst.. The gate is super short in relation to the length of the shift shaft) there is almost no vibration or wiggle of the shaft when driving or idle or off... Little to NO side play, the gates are tight and firm unlike the OEM shifter... And even without the leather boot the assembly is whisper quiet... Unlike every other shifter (hurst OEM & AM, MGW & OEM ) I have felt, tried, & driven.

I had one of my techs in my shop throw it in... Took him about an hour
Any pics of the actual assembly? Would like to see what makes it so good by seeing the guts of the shifter. Not doubting, just want to know what was changed for curiosity sake. Thanks.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any before it was put in... Sorry I dropped the ball on that one... But I will try and post up some video soon of it in the car at idle, running thru the gears and while driving so that everyone can see it "in action" if there is a desire for that?

No problem. Video would be cool to see it in action. Thanks.

I still want to see all of the parts. The next person to do this please take pictures. I would never swap out my MGW, but it would be nice to know all of the details for someone else looking for a short throw shifter.

A sale you say?

So... how much would all these components be if purchased through you?

I keep looking for a local dealer to have a ZL1 manual on hand so I can see first hand how this thing feels... but go ahead... tempt me...

Yeah, that's a bit of a haul. (But MGW is in driving distance). Do you sell just the parts so folks like me can install it themselves?

You just need the shifter assembly, the shift knob and the boot to do it yourself. Buy an M5 x .8 flat head machine screw, around 3/8 inch long for the knob. It isn't a very difficult install.

It is a big improvement, the shift knob is very nice and natural feeling and the gate is perfect. No noise and around $250 for everything!

Make sure the rubber boot under the car seated all of the way. Did you use all of the sound deadoning material that was provided? Are you using the stock knob?
