Getting closer...

The wait will be worth it. Anticipation makes you think of all the fun and possibilities you are going to enjoy with Brandi.

We need a pic of you going down the highway with your head sticking out like a dogs just smilin' away

BEST THREAD YET

I was just trollin' round the site and came across this thread. With no intentions on spending hours reading one thread, I just couldnt stop. But 400+ post later, here I am.
Im soooo excited for you Robert. The car is awesome. Great build and sounds like a great builder.
So, after being completly hooked on the thread I get to the "shipped the wrong motor" post. My heart freakin' sank!!! I was devastated. And it aint even my car! Heck, I dont even know the owner, lol. But then, alas, all turned out well.
So here I am all caught up with this awesome build thread and dying to see some dyno results.
You seem to be "good people" (lol) and Im so happy for you.
It would be great to see you and your car in person at C5FII. I'll be in Phoenix but our plane doesnt arrive until late Sat. evening. This trip was planned beforeI knew about C5 and any kind of Fest or it would have been planned differently. I may, however, consider trying to make the trophy presentations Sat. night. Atleast then I would be able to say I was there.
Just realized, 500+ post...geeesh
Good luck to you in all you do. I'll be following this thread to its end.

Oh and btw, I was able to visit San Antonio for my first time last year. My wife and I stayed on the river walk. Its a beautiful city and we cant wait to get back there some day.

Wow, thanks for stopping in, you're more dedicated than I am, I couldn't go back and read all this...
I also am going nuts waiting for the results. I've been told to stop looking at the clock . . . . . . . . . . . . . but that is almost impossible... I usually count my TTTEOMH (time to the end of my hitch) by the drills completed... We have a drill every week, and so, I have four, three two or one, drill left... I am at one drill, but that isn't helping, so I went to days, then hours, I'm on minutes and getting close to seconds...I just can't count that high...
and if you arrive in Phoenix late Saturday eve, you should be just in time for the After Fest Party....

I think there is going to be a huge crowd, Savini is putting it on... If you manage to make it out, hopefully we'll get to meet...

Next time you're in San Antonio, give any of usw in the San Antonio thread a shout out, we'll make sure you hook up with us if you're here on a Friday night.... Some of us will hook up any night...

Robert

Robert - you once talked about the new twins and you going backwards at 100MPH. I have to share with you what we saw at the Texas Mile this morning.
A corvette pulled up to the line and started rolling down the track....then you could hear the turbos kick in......the next sight was this Corvette going backwards first and then leaving the pavement sideways thru the dirt......... I immediately thought of you, Brandi and your comment about going backwards....

The Vette was fine after a quick change of underwear he was back in line and ran 197 MPH.

Get back soon .......

Ohhhhhh, NOooooooo,

It's true huh...

I guess I really do need to invest in a driving instructor. Dammit, Ashley had to go and get pregnant...

There will be no video cameras anywhere within twenty miles when I make my first drive. I am not going to be an instant celebrity on frigg'in YOUTUBE...

Maybe I'll save the driving lesson cost and just invest in depends and a "get in the bathroom free pass for anywhere along the highways."

"No, I did not buy any gas, I do not want a coke, just gimmee the frigg'in key....

#%*%$#%^&$@ here, I'll take this piece of gum... oh and some wet wipes, NOW GIMME THE %^*$%^& key...."
