Camaro SS vs Challenger SRT8
BONE STOCK , should this be dead even ? OR will the Camaro have a slight advantage due to weight and the extra horse ? Not starting a flame war just wondering how this race would go down !!!!
I can take a loss trust me , just haven't had many !!! (Besides a lambo on I-95) |

This has been debated many times! The SS should win but it is all benchracing until we get our hands on it!

No problem on the repost, nbd, and I am sure it will get alot of replies.
It oughta be interesting and fun when these 2 cars are out on the streets and track together. It is all good and fun! Thanks! I love the cobalt and it will be hard to give it up, but not that hard . It is a sleeper for sure, and very capable, but to be honest, it is cavalier lookin and that is something that never grew on me. I am looking so forward to the Camaro it is making me nuts. Not much longer and I will have the complete package. I am sure that you understand this because you have that Chally SRT8. Very nice!

now everyone knows I'm a GM fanboy at times, but I have to defend the SRT8 and say that this race is going to be a close one... the Camaro has the better power to weight ratio but the Challenger has some incredibly short gears out back... at the track, that's going to be hard to overcome, as the jump off the line and the access to torque and horsepower will give it an edge.
my prediction is that the Camaro will come out on top at the track, but with one wrong shift, the SRT8 is the winner.

Sorry but I have to say this.
MY RT is an execptional RT. No one at my dealership/mechanics can understand WHY its not like the other RT's. It feels so much more powerful than any other RT's even at STOCK. Possibly a pilot car. Anyway, I have raced (sorry) several STR8 and I have to say it I whipped the odd ones and lost by a narrow margin to others. In my oppinion the SRT8 will NOT beat the SS EVER!! I'm not that impressed by STOCK SRT8's.

So very true guys. This will be a race between drivers and maybe rubber. Some Drag Radials should help a lot cause the hole is going to decide the race. Hmmmmm. where are all the mustang guys at when talking about stock vs stock and a race....
