L92 intake?

Well this has been floating around my head since before I bought the camaro, but most LS3/L99 swapped trucks swap the intake for the L92 and seen about 7rwhp and 18rwhp. Anyone here done this on there cars? Taller intake means more torque ....... I will find dyno sheets of this from PT.net LS3 vs L92 intakes.

Iirc they flow pretty much the same. I remember tests done on these in like 2007/2008.

I don't think it will fit under the stock hood? Could be wrong though.

I've personally tested one. We have a L92/LS3 head package for the LS2 Trailblazer SS's that we've been selling for years! They run really good!

Anyway We tested one to see if the truck intake was better or worse than the car intake. We lost 10 rwhp and 10 ft lbs of torque quite literally across the board with the LS3 intake even thought he LS3 intake flowed quite a bit better on the bench.

Having said that I doubt you would be able to fit that ugly thing under a Camaro hood but you can always try!

Yeah I just bought one, you have any dyno sheets? Not saying your right or wrong but I've seen Pat G talk about it on LS1tech and others in 5 different forums L92 outperformed the LS3, Keep in mind 6.2L trucks make 403hp 417tq vs 400hp 410tq on an L99 same block and heads different intake, guess I'm going to do some measuring to see if it clears, ugly or not If it works better don't mind that ugly better performing intake

You going to see if it fits? Cool. Keep us posted. I just happen to have one with fuel rails.

I think you misread me. The L92 intake outperformed the LS3 by 10 rwhp 10 ft-bs of torque. If you go on TBSSowners.com you might be able to find the thread. This has been several years ago (before 2010 camaro's where even out)

Interesting! Is the opening higher or is it just the runners? If the opening is higher then I wonder how it will work with a cold air intake...

In for some modern day results. I was reading Richards from WCCH write up on these and brought back lots of memories from when these 4.065's showed up! Lol

Forget the cold air intake. Cams and centri blowers.

Your gonna need to rig something up to connect it to the TB cause it sits higher.

Cam and centri is definitely on my list. But for now I have the Vararam intake. And I definitely don't want anything rigged. Experience tells me that rigging stuff always multiplies any potential problems, lol!! So I have to stick with a ported LS3 or Fast intake manifold for now I guess.
