Spoke with Racing Brake yesterday concerning the heavy duty 4 piston SS calipers. Said they just got their hands on some spindles and should be ready for production in 4-6 weeks. There will be an option for red, black, and blue. More info coming soon.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. I can't wait for my next Track fix. I spent some time with the CTS-Vs that are running during the V8 Supercar event at COTA. There are elements of the car they do not want to show in photos so I can't show you great pictures.
The fronts have TWO ducts per side feeding carbon fiber custom made oval shape tubing. The tubing dumps into the rotor center and on the caliper. HUGE volume. HUGE. In the rear they have a saddle like carbon fiber part that sits across the top of the caliper. ONE 'hump' in the saddle dumps air into the rotor blades. THE other 'hump' cools the caliper and center section. IT is a design that makes so much sense you look at it and say of course this is the right way to do this. |
