You Guys are in for a real experience!!
If any of you early buyers of the Camaro have never experienced owing a highly anticipated car very early in the production when very few are on the road yet you are in for an experience you will remember forever.
When I got my first Sky it was the very first one delivered in a 100 mile radius. needless to say it got so much attention, Many times it took me 15 minutes just to fill it up with gas because of all the questions I had to answer. All the thumbs ups and questions of what kind of car is that? and the astonished looks when I sad "It's a Saturn" were priceless. Still to this day I get the same reaction from some people. I can guarentee when you tell people it's a 2010 Camaro they will be shocked. Be prepared to open the hood, the trunk, and let people see inside. You will even have people ask to sit in it. I found it was major fun just to go to Cruise-ins around the area. stand back and listen to what people say... I never heard one bad comment about the Sky and I would say we won't with the Camaro either. I am looking forward to taking Our Bumblebee around for people to see, I want to find some vintage first gen Camaros to park next to... Enjoy this time, It only comes around once or twice in a lifetime... Luckily for me it will me my second time around.

I wonder if I'll be too late. I'm about half way through my dealer's allotment so who knows...

I've had a few cars with the "wow" factor...it's actually one of the things I'm not looking forward to. It gets old having everyone gawk and nearly cause an accident. And god forbid if you're in a hurry and have to swing by the market....you will get swamped with questions.

It happens with classic cars. I always get people at restaurants or gas stations asking about my car. Or I get the random baby boomers who pull out their wallet to show me a picture of their first Camaro.

I am assuming that it will be better than when I got one of the first "3rd gen" 4-Runners! All I got was "huh, so thats the new 4-Runner? It's not as skinny as the old one."
I am hoping the reception is more along the lines of "Holy $hit! That is AWESOME!" |

This is why I'm happy I'm waiting for a year or so for Nav and HUD, I don't like random people in my car.

This factor is the main one urging me to not wait...
Damn practicality.
