lol, people think just because it's a v6 that it's under powered. still amazes me.

not singling you out, no, there are a few on this thread. I don't care if you have a v6, v8, 4 banger, rotary, etc. if you have 323hp on a RWD, you have enough to break traction and drift.

There is a huge difference between the two and it's actually quite hard to fully break traction in competitive mode, since that is what the car is trying to prevent. |

First off, my statement had nothing to do with his engine choice, though I will add that in many cases, the cost of a well equipped 2LT exceeds the price of a base 1SS, and that just seems like a crazy choice, but to each his own. My comments were more directed at the choice of an auto trans and what I believe would be an open rear end. Those two features seem pretty anti drifting to me.

Should of gone with the V8...
I kid i kid. Ya more air in back tires may help. Drifting is much simpler with a manual. Just saying.

weld the diff solid... that'll fix it!
or try pulling the fuse to the ABS/Traction control etc. But don't cry when it's wrecked. |

Soon as my tires are warm and im moving at any speed faster then first gear its almost impossible to break loose - the clutch slips if you rev up to anything over 3k and dump it - its really hard to break loose this 2 tonne behemoth (once shes moving that big ass that is).

Mine (yes, an automatic six- banger) will drift and kick the rear out anytime I goose it with the TC/ Stabilitrac disabled... point being, that yours SHOULD also be able to. It sounds like there may be some software glitch that falsely indicates that the TC/ Stabilitrac has been disabled, when in fact, it is still active. I presume you have tried drifting WITHOUT the lights being activated, to see if perhaps the software has transposed the modes? Sort of a long shot, but worth checking, I'd think... |

I've done several Auto_X events and had no problem drifting with TC/ST turned off...
My V6 2LT can drift and power slide just fine....

Just realized you are a v6 so take my last post as an idea not specific to your vehicle.
