Chemical Guys fans: PSA
Just figured I'd share this to any DIY car wash guys. One of the things I miss about being a homeowner is washing my own vehicle. While I'm sure that there are better alternatives and cheaper alternatives to Chemical Guys, they make "better than average" products. Having purchased some high end products, the difference in the worst car care products and the best may not be worth the extra money spent, but CG isn't bad especially at the price below. If you have a foam cannon and pressure washer, their soaps produce some crazy foam. I used the "grape"/"citrus" pretty frequently with great results.

Adams Polishes (sponsored by GM) also makes some great products as well.

I just started using the CG products. I was impressed with how the cars came out using a foam cannon.

I'm a fan of CG products. I dont like how they pretty much have multiple versions of the same thing, but since my car is ceramic coated, their hydro line is pretty much all I use.
I will say though, as much as I go back and forth on upgrading my foam cannon (some Amazon brand that I put in the 1.1 orifice/metal screen and does create alot of foam) when I do foam the car, I have MINUTES to wipe it down cause it slides right off. i usually don't have to wipe it down, just the dwell time alone is good for the dust. Then the lead blower comes out. But anywho, I dont see why I should upgrade to a "better" foam cannon when I grt really good foam as it is. Side note* their hydro slick is some good stuff. Specially when added to a ceramic as a "booster" 1 coating of hydroslick has lasted me 5 months so far and stuff still falls right off. Even on my wifes suv that isn't coats, I did a coat of hydro slick and washing it is so much easier now. |

And I could say ... Meguiars.... but that is not what this thread is about. Adams, to me, is WAY overpriced.
