700-800rwhp?

Looking for some options to achieve 700-800rwhp by adding a supercharger to the mods already listed below. From what I have seen a Procharger setup would probably be the easiest to make this. But wanted to get some other opinions from some that have already done it.

What's up man...thinking of going the same route in the near future. Seems like you would need ~8-9psi with a procharger to get about 700 at the tires with a cam/exhaust setup like yours. Basically thinking of doing the same setup. Shoot me a PM I'd like to shoot the $hit about your tuner.

I achieved the rwhp you are looking for with the mods in my sig. With the restricter plate in I'm running at 700 rwhp @ 11 psi boost. Restricter plate out I'm at 793 rwhp @ 16 psi. I spray 100% meth on both situation. The pulley setup with ECS is top notch!

AGP twin turbos and be done with it. Procharger D1SC will also get you there.

That's a nice looking setup mrimpala02. I wonder if my exhaust setup is going to hinder me being a smaller diameter. Do you get a good whine out of the ECS supercharger? Is meth required with that setup or just a cost effective way of staying safe?

Thanks,

The only thing I worry about is the cam I already have setup. I would need to swap it out for something else if I went the turbo route (at least that is what I have been told). I love the sound of turbo's, but the whine of a supercharger is also a sound I would love to have. At the moment a supercharger seems like less cost/work. But that's why I am asking, I don't know.

Thanks,
For the most part the gears are relatively quiet in the Paxton head unit. You can hear it lightly throughout the rpm range, but the bov ECS supplies is my favorite part. It really draws attention. The meth is there to combat the 100+ degree weather of San Antonio. Plus it is a bit of added safety. I have plenty of fuel with my 60 lbs injectors combined with my duel pumps. I don't think you will experience a huge loss with a smaller diameter exhaust, but sure going bigger would show a decent gain. Plus the sound enhancement is nice! Here is a link to my dyno video:

Also I would probably ditch the cats. FI and cats don't get along. I bought my exhaust used from someone that w as previously supercharged going turbos and cats were melted

The only experience I have with a BOV is with a turbo setup, and I remember the type of sound it made. Is that the same when using a BOV with a supercharger setup?

Yeah I will probably need to up the diameter to 3" when I supercharger, and I will probably drop the cats at that time.

So could I achieve these power levels with a standard maggie?

Yes the BOV sound is similar. I'm sure you can find a video on YouTube to hear a sample. The ECS is a centrifugal supercharger so the configuration is similar to a turbo as far as the piping setup. Pretty much a belt driven turbo.

Yes these numbers are obtainable with a maggie, but you would be pretty much maxed out on the maggie.

Check out this build lethal did with a maggie.

That is a crazy build. Seems to be a little riskier, at least with the internals from what I read on that thread. I am almost certain I would be looking for these power levels on the stock engine, unless I come into a lot of money to get a different motor.

Anytime you pretty much double the designed HP output of an engine you are increasing risk of blowing your stock internals. From factory engineers use a safety factor to guarantee 100k mi warranty yada yada... In other words you have to have trust in your tuner when pushing the limits of your engine. Tuning is key!

From my research/experience I would recommend the ECS kit with the Novi 1500, which can later be bought back if you want to increase power level down the road and upgrade to a Vortech YSI. The procharger setup is also another option. Either way I would run meth as a safety factor and to control IAT's in the summer.

From what I have researched you will be pretty much maxed out with the available PD superchargers. All depends on what your end goal is. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

You're going to have to go with higher volume fuel pump than the ZL1 and at least ID850 injectors.
