High Temp Paint - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'd really like to paint some of the items under the hood to match the color of my car. I've found lots of high temp paints that can be used but they only have Red or Bright Red as the colors. My car is the Crystal Red Tintcoat color. Does anyone know where we can get the high temp paint that's in CRT? I'd like to paint the engine cover, fuse box cover, etc. Thanks!

If your only painting the fusebox and engine cover, normal rattle can will work just fine. "High Temp" paint is for applications that will run far hotter than your engine cover will ever see. Plenty of forum members have done it including me and I've yet to run into any problems. Just make sure to sand it a little and use some adhesion promoter.

Now to find a spray can of CRT.

My dealer has the touchup stuff but I'd need a hundred of those to actually paint anything real.

Try here (I think GBE is the color code for CRT, but be sure to check):
