Is the ZL1 1LE a true package or a hoax? Is there a Z28 coming??

As per my title. If this is true then I don't know what to make of this. There will not be a need for a Z28 if this happens. My guess is that GM hasn't justified or produced a stand alone v8 to put into a Z28 model.

Anyone?

Yeap no Z/28! I'm happy because I have the Z/28 which is now a collector car.

I wouldn't mind this ZL1 + 1LE as a track only car in my garage.

Ok I confirmed my suspicions. Its great, but reality this kills off any idea of a feasible Z28. This actually may sell better than the 5th gen Z28, which was great conceptually but a nightmare in sales.

Edit: Z28 may not necessarily be dead. Chevy could hold off on it until the next generation. Maybe...

I mean this feasibly is the Z/28. It has all the performance bits of the Z/28 while giving you the creature comforts that many complained about and different suspension bits and carbon fiber parts. Only way I see a Z/28 coming is if they introduce a new N/A engine. For example, if the new ZR1 corvette has a new engine that's N/A then you might see a Z/28. Otherwise I don't see a reason for a RS, SS, SS 1LE, ZL1, ZL1 1LE and Z/28. The ZL1-1LE and the Z/28 would be doing the same things as Road coarse warriors.

My thoughts exactly. There would be too many models focused on the same thing. How do you justify an exclusive, track model Z28 with the same LT4 found in not only ZL1, but ZL1-1LE and Corvette Z06. Chevy also had the problem of the exclusive price point of the Z28. The current ZL1 with the 1LE equipment will probably push 70k, so a hypothetical Z28 with an LT4 with a price of 79-80K becomes ridiculous.

This is great news for everyone! It truly is the best of both worlds for ZL1/Z/28 in the Chevrolet engineers eyes and for retail sales. Guys, this is your Z/28 because I heard they are not making one in the Gen 6 model.

S0, THE GOOD NEWS is for those of us that have the Gen5 Z/28...it is going to be a keeper and be worth more over time..and within a shorter time than you think!

I absolutely love the ZL1 1LE - it is going to be an amazing car and I know I will definitely own one!

I guess I'll continue to build on what I've got...Only 10,000 miles on car and when this hybrid arrives I may have 20,000 miles...Chevy is about to price themselves out of the market, as well as, Ford and Dodge in the area of muscle cars...Seems like they all would realize that another recession is on the horizon and this time I doubt they get a bailout...

This new super Camaro clearly is a game changer in my opinion. The Wing is super cool and highly functional. I'd love to own this Camaro. Maybe I will buy, or wait until late 2018 for a used low milage Car. However, I still think the 14/15' Z/28 is the best Camaro to own today. I always said if Chevy/GM would build a Camaro that looked like the Lamborghini Murcielago but keep the font engine. An American muscle car version of the Aventador or Murcielago -- That would be a home run!

I was mildly interested in the '17 ZL1 as a potential replacement for my '12 in another few years. This 1LE version of the ZL1 has me far more interested in upgrading much sooner!
