Is something wrong with my car
Ever since i got the car it has seemed slow to me. I was getting on the highway the other day was doing about 70 shifted down to 4th stepped on the gas to get in front of a truck and the car just did not want to move like a 500hp car should. It has always been like this. My 13 ss ls3 had way more kick than this and my friends 5.0 has way better pickup at these speeds. The car has great performance at speeds below 55 once you get beyond that the car is like a dog at wot no matter what gear. Is this just me of do you think something is wrong. (I have tried a fuse pull already)
2013 zl1 manual only mods so far cai, Ported tb I always use 93 octane. |

Ditch the cai and see if you still have the same results after doing another fuse pull.

How long did you leave the fuse out???I think several members have posted that they had to leave it out over night...Did you start noticing a power loss before the mods, or were the mods on the car when you purchased it???Car should be pulling like a freight train...

I left the fuse out for about 15 hours. No mods on the car when i bought it. I added them. It has been doing this since day 1. I was hoping the mods would help but it might of made it worse.

Could be kr rearing its ugly head. Hard to tell without any data logging or a dyno to see what it is indeed putting out. Also see if your heat exchanger is full to the top. If not iat's are high and timing is pulled like crazy. Also who ported the tb? A bad tb will kill throttle response. What CAI are you using? Some require tuning......

Other issue is traction control. If the tires aren't stock sized, traction control can pull timing. When you downshift and hammer it, does the traction control light come on ? If so, disable traction control and try again.
BTW, at 70mph, 3rd gear is where you want to be for maximum acceleration. |

Why do you have a ported throttle body and who installed it? I'd look at that first.

There was another similar recent thread. He found that he had a very low coolant level in the intercooler/heat exchanger.
