285 35 20s

Will I have ANY issues changing my rears to 285/35 20, (from the stock 275/35 20s) and keeping my fronts at the stock 245/40 20?

Yes I searched and see people using but not a definitive 'No Issue" answer I would prefer.

Thanks in advance

I don’t see a single issue with using the 285. You’re well within the 1” diameter difference from the front to the rear.

For reference I went to 1LE sizes on my SS and haven’t had one issue. (They’ve been on my car for 2 years) There’s more variance front to back with my current setup versus stock SS sizes.

I ran a 295/35/20 in the rear until this past week, relocated the harness, no issues worked great. Running the 285 you'll have no problem.

I tried to find the same set up, I have a 2016 RS and bought a set of SS rims for track days but Goodyear in the Eagle F1 SC3 don't offer those sizes. Same with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. I chose the Eagle F1 SC3 but had to size 245/35/20 and 285/30/20. I am sure you can find the size you want but you will be limited in brand selection. they are both 26.8 in height.

I am looking at General G-Max RS, they come 285/35 20 as well as 275s.

I've been looking at going up "10" on both the F & R for my SS on OEM SS wheels, so also interested in this.
Can someone running 285 rears and 255 fronts post some pics?
Anyone running 295's and 265's too, although that's beyond what's recommended for 8.5 & 9.5 wheels.
