Baby Cam

Hey guys,,getting ready to do the LS3 conversion on my L99,,i have a set of take off ls3 heads i want to use since they have the lighter intake valves, and i wanted to just use the stock yellow springs. Any idea on what would be a good small cam to use as i dont want to use an aftermarket converter either.

Hit up Pat G for a custom cam. I'd upgrade the springs anyway though. Just cheap insurance.

Bad70supreme has a nice voodoo cam. It's on this page. But you should at least upgrade your converter. It will make the ride very fun!

Agreed. Even with the stock cam.

You can get a set of pac 1218 or comp 918 springs for cheap and run more lift to better take advantage of the better flowing heads to produce more gain while still sticking with the stock stall. We have done plenty of sleeper cams that work with the stock converter in autos, if you're insistent on running stock springs you might as well run an LS9 cam. Feel free to give me a call to discuss in detail. Chris, 817-750-2000

~.570" but worry about valve float with big valve depending on the rpms if you were to use something like an XE lobe.
