Magnaflow Competition Series HELPPPPPP!!!!
Does anyone have the magnaflow competion series exhaust installed on an LS3 convertible? Catback or Axleback?
Went to have part #15093 installed today and it did not line up at all!! Magnaflow tech support stated that their engineering department says all 2011 and up vehicles have valve assemblies(FLAPPERS) on the exhaust. I informed him that was not true it is only on L99's(automatics) with AFM. He sounded flabbergasted.... Needless to say they have opened a file on my problem and in mean time I am in limbo for who knows how long... So I brought The SSGHOST back home with no exhaust from axle back. Anybody have any info or suggestions? |

Very interesting.. That axle back should bolt up just fine. Keep us updated on what you find out.

It's just an axel back system and it shows its for any of the V8's. does it matter that its a convertible? Maybe a catback but not the axel backs.
What isint lining up?

Exactly that's why I ordered it but it doesn't line up, it seems they have these systems set up to be close to the differential and tie in to those valve assemblies(flappers) |

The Driver side inlet tubing was sitting on the brace and the passenger side inlet tubing would face outward and no matter how we rotated it did not line up with the tail pipe assembly... my guy tried for two hours different rotations.
Like I said it seems magnaflow engineers have designed these axle backs assuming all 2011 and up vehicles have the flappers. LS3's don't and then there is the issues of the cross braces. |

In my research today it seems the catback system fits all L99's no problems but there seems to be issues still with the catbacks on the convertible LS3's.
