Camarofest 5 concerns

Got two important questions 1 I heard Baytown has a high crime rate so how is security being handled
2. Next is that concrete Cushing plant that's made its home just feet from the racetrack if they are saying that rock dust is blowing on to the racetrack and sticking how is that going to affect our paint jobs sense that crap is blowing right across the parking lot where we will be parked

Just wanting some clarification on these issues cause if we don't I know a few of us that may not show up

In past years that I've attended there have been off duty police roaming the parking lot after hrs. Not sure the logistics for this year since there will be multiple lots.
I can't speak on the dust issue but I'd bet they've got it covered. From what I remember the recycling plant is not in full operation.

Ok thanks for some clarification cause that would suck to have dust with tiny rock pieces in it only to us a microfiber rag and put small scratches in the paint

You will encounter a 100 times more dust and rock particles on your drive from IL then you would encounter in month long stay at Royal Purple unless your bringing it down in an enclosed trailer.

The NHRA Spring Nationals are there 5 days before we get the track. It will be in tip top shape. There is a rock crushing thread but it's dead now. We race out there every weekend and it's not an issue.

Baytown is just like any other city but like we always do we will add a security patrol. We also police ourselves as someone is in the parking lot late all the time.

The rock pile may not even be there by may, the owners have reached an agreement to move the pile from what I was told at the bracket racers pre season drivers meeting.
