Arrow Keeping your Camaro completely showroom stock? Or mod?

Anybody else out there planning to keep their Camaro showroom stock? I will be keeping my 1SS all original for as long as I own it. A new meaning for SS.

and i will be painting the antenna body color.
and, a hideaway front license plate holder
other than that, i think i will always have a 2LT .
is that close enough to stock?

oh, i also ordered the bumble bee disco ball and air freshener for the mirror...

IMO, the more people from "my generation" (currently 20) gets into cars, the more that stock will mean nothing. People have the means and desire to modify their cars more than ever. You even see this at BJ auctions- restomods are bringing in more and more money every time they come up to the block. I have nothing against stock cars, but they are becoming the exception rather than the norm.

I'm sure there will be many, I'm just not sure how many you will find doing it on this site. Unless you just don't care about improved performance or appearance, why would you want to?

Somewhere down the road, 30 or 40 years from now, if you still had a showroom stock Camaro SS with low miles, then yes, it might be worth more than a modified one. But certainly not much more. Besides, are you buying the car as a potential investment? If so, I would be remiss if I did not tell you are much better ways to grow your nestegg than speculating on whether or not a particular vehicle will be worth something in the future.

The warranty has me saying: Yes I'll keep it stock.

But my GTO has 125rwhp(ish) more than the stock SS. I wanna go NA this time around and have promised myself to break in the car and wait for 1500 miles before modding.

That's the beauty. There is no right answer. It is up to the individual owner.
