JRE Tune ??

How much more power could i expect from a JRE mail tune on my '11 2SS/RS? The only mods i have is a Spectre CAI, Flowmaster Axle back, and a Superchips programmer.

If it's an stick shift I wouldn't bother until you get a set of headers. The factory tune is pretty much spot on so you won't gain much.

If it's an auto, GET IT!!!! You won't gain much in terms of HP or Tq but the tranny tune on the auto will increase the performance of the car greatly.

Given the CAI you chose you will need a custom tune to correct the ERRORS in MAF reporting caused by it.

There could be up to 20 RWHP available over the factory tune with that CAI.

Correcting for a Poorly Designed CAI is Critical to performance.

I would suggest you take a good hard look at CAI, Halltech and Rotofab.

Benefits of the tune are
Reduced torque management
Fans on earlier
Skip shift elimination
Optimized Timing and fueling
Recalibration for aftermarket CAI and other mods.

You will have to do a return to stock with your Superchips and sell it before working with an SCT Custom JRE Tune.

Ted.

If you want a CAI, silver, cold air intake I have a used one that is complete I will sell you for cheap. PM me if you are interested.

Or there are dozens of vendors that will give you a good deal on a new one as well.

Jannetty has done a lot of expensive and time consuming research for us. There is a post with all the numbers and discussion. If I remember correctly if you buy the programmer and parts from him the tune is free? He can correct me if I am wrong. Also don't forget the scoop and bottle relocation!

Right on! My car works! Can't say enough about my experience with JTE. Buy his tuner, take his advice.
