What 135 Camaros & 1 Firehawk looks like all at once
The 2nd Annual Sunshine State Camaro Rally took place this past weekend in Kissimmee, FL. 136 Camaros & Firebirds from all over Florida and beyond made the trip out. 81 participated in the Police escorted 30 mile charity cruise to Give Kids The World Village and back to the resort.. Now that was a sight to see at 4:30pm on a Friday. TONS of officers had intersections blocked the entire way for us. Overall, we were able to raise & donate a little over $3,000 for the Give Kids The World charity.
There was a Friday evening pizza and cake party. Saturday had a huge car show, mobile dyno with plenty of sponsor vendors on site, multiple contests, a tribute to C5 forum member Racebum who unexpectedly passed away just days before the rally. Many raffles, awards and prizes were given away including many items GM sent down from Detroit as well as a VERY rare ZL1 poster autographed by Mike Judge and 92 other Oshawa build team members. Each night there was some serious late night keg stand partying going on as well. All in all it was a great time for most everyone. It was great seeing all of you again this year and the new faces. We had 1 person drive over 1,300 miles from Albany, NY to attend. Great job everyone. Now let's see those pics & videos. Event is in the March GKTW enwesletter "This month, Give Kids The World rumbled with the sounds of roaring engines as Mayor Clayton led a parade of beautiful Camaros through the Village. The 2nd Annual Sunshine State Camaro Rally traveled to Kissimmee, where over 81 Camaro owners participated in the charity cruise to Give Kids The World Village. Clubs from all over Florida joined in the ride, as well as a few travelers from New York and Pennsylvania. After cruising through the Village, the group participated in a car show benefitting GKTW. Through registration fees, chance-to-win raffles and additional donations, The Sunshine State Camaro Rally raised over $3,000 on behalf of the Village. Many proud owners added to the beauty of their vehicles with the addition of our bright red Village Ribbon magnets. We are so grateful that The Sunshine State Camaro Rally included GKTW in their ride. Next time you see a stunning Camaro adorned with a GKTW ribbon, be sure to give a big thumbs up to the driver for their help in supporting our mission to provide our families with joy, laughter, serenity, and a lifetime of memories". I don't know if you noticed... But it is still winter up here in MN and we are really getting jealous of these early spring events in the southern states. It makes me want to sit in the corner and cry. At least I get to go to the auto show today. Driving over there in our Winter Weather Advisory should be a treat...

I would like to take a second and thank all of the TBC members that showed up in force. 2 people of note I want to acknowledge are Nelson from the TBC for the generous and selfish donation of over $500 he gave back to the charity after winning the 50/50, and Jay for his tireless efforts coordinating and photographing the various club events, sometimes at the expense of his own participation and enjoyment. . . See you all next year.
