So why is his product number different (92221716)?

you probably went through insurance and the HUD windshield is available for 2010 Camaro's so therefore they could charge the insurance company for it.. had it not been available, you would have to pay the difference in cost... the real test will come in a few years when the pinch weld starts rusting because most Safelite techs dont prime the car... it's takes time for the primer to dry and since they work on commission, they have to move on to the next car asap.. on top of being overburdened by incompetent CSRs schedualing 5+ mobile jobs a day...

since you probably went through insurance, and had a deductible to pay anyway, why would you choose the worst glass company to do the install? next time pm me and i can probably refer a local company that will reinvest the money back into the community and years of experience to eliminate possible long term issues...

I bumped the old windshields printed numbers with the new one and they were the same. They both said HUD on them as well.

what happens is that LOF (Pilkington) will manufacture the parts for themselves to distribute and sell to assembly lines, but PGW (PPG) will also buy parts from LOF to sell... sometimes there isnt a competing distributor in an area where they can sell them.. like in my area..
