cammed ls3 vs header Cai 5.0

Have a Co worker that just bought a 2013 auto 5.0 headers and Cai don't know about the tune.

Think I should have any problems? I know from a dig I will have trouble on the jump but what about a roll race?

FYI both on street tires

You should take him no problem. From a dig it depends how you launch. Roll you got him big time

Honestly i was somewhat dissapointed when i raced my buddies 5.0 we bothe have the same upgrades but he acrually has his tuned (lt headers, full exhaust with x pipe, cai) but i shed 115lbs rotating weight and went to 18s and downsized my tire diameter 1.8". It was close but i was slowly pulling him.. You should have him

With your cam it shouldn't even be close. The one's I've ran at the track with comparable bolt on mods it always boils down to my launch(M6) and we're always within 1 or 2 tenths of each other. So with your cam you shouldn't have a problem.
The only 5.0's I've seen running with cammed 5th gens are full bolt ons with bigs & littles. Not saying thats always the case, just what I've seen.

Full boltons wit the cj intake should be around 475 rwp. Cammed 5th gens are around that maybe a little more. Ive seen them edge out cammed 5th gens at the track with dr's on both. That being said at that level it comes down the launch period.

Who is the tuner for the 5.0? If it is Bama you can easily win, they suck at tuning an auto trans to shift well.

Yeah I posted that before I had a good look at your car! I knew you didn't have an intake but thought you had headers, so I shouldn't have said "full" bolt on. Either way you got a Wednesday car, lol!
Ive been looking for those two silver 5.0's, but haven't seen them in a while or that black one? The silver M6 lives near me but NEVER see him around?
Btw, did you get your tune straight?

It's all good, lol! I received a revision but not sure when I'll get back to the track to try it...

Dang it! Well at least you got your tune straight. I'm off on the first so I should make it out. Hopefully with some good air, the new gears & better driving I can make it into the 11s!
