LS3 automatic?
I guy on another forum claims to have paid extra to get a Ls3 with the paddle shift auto? Is this possible?

while we are on the topic....
i was curious i know there will be ppl who decied to do the LS3/auto combo aftermarket. Would it be easier/cheaper to A.Buy a SS M6 and swap the tranny or B. Buy a SS A6 abd swap the motor??? |

The L99 is a very advanced engine, alot of the performance shop guys are saying alot can be done to make it even better. The VVT is supposed to be really good. And DOD can be programmed out if you do not want it.

ls3/auto swap here, stock ecm and L99 harness work fine with the LS3, you just dont plug in the cam phaser and the AFM/DOD connector, thats it, the rest is a direct bolt in swap, then the tuning
the engine swap is the way to go,, you would have major $$ in swapping the trans, harness, tcm, steering column, floor shifter/ console, pedal assy and body harness

You don't need to swap the engine, just delete the VVT and AFM components and you have an LS3. But why would you want to delete VVT?
Swapping engines would be like building a whole new hamburger from scratch instead of taking the cheese off of the cheeseburger.

I mean not entirely, what's a LS3 running, about 6-7 k, he can sell his L99, or put it in a got or F-bod, are use it has a table, lol I don't know
It would be cheaper to swap the engine anyday And to Camaro1, that burger sounds fun lol

No kidding. Anyone can put an LS9 in the car if they wanted to. The issue is if he was able to buy a brand new A6 with an LS3 from the factory.

Thanks for the replys, I did not think so given it was a Titan forum.
Another quick question...."Plenty of throttle left at 160"??? Wow lol what did i start...lol...i dont know what some of you are talking about the inside being ugly...its not...its beautiful...top notch....i cant speak for other models of the camaro but the 2ss is amazing inside and out.....and as far as the 6speed manual...goes...if you have the money you can get what ever you want...i special orederd mine with the auto/manual with the Ls3...the mormal auto come with the L99...mine does not....anyway i got her up to 160 going to vegas..and then shut it down had plenty more throttle just to much traffic....not to mention it handles like a dream....
