I plan on going with 3" pipes right to the back out of the resonated xpipe and using 3" tips to give it a clean finishing look. On that note, there is plenty of back pressure from your stock larger cats, the 2.5" pipes from your cats to the xpipe and of course from the xpipe itself as it is resonated. If you choose a true X what they call it, you'd loose back pressure like mad if you had no mufflers and used larger pipes.

The shop gave me a quote of $325 for the custom pipes material/welding/tip install.
That's not a bad idea actually. I feel like the LM1 can't handle the amount of air flow.. every cold start sounds odd

I know that wasn't to me specifically, but how do you post/embed a video? I'm currently uploading a short vid

I've thought about j pipes too but I'd hate getting them and then find out the car is super quiet (back to stock basically) defeating the purpose of aggressive exhaust.
No.

Drone and loudness do not necissarily go hand in hand. Now, of course if you have a loud exhaust you will hear it from inside the car, but it does not HAVE to drone either (or at least not much).

I rode in SIXJAK's car back when he had LT headers and the SOLO catback with J-pipes. That car was stinking loud! But inside was not that bad. Yes could hear the aggressive exhaust easily, but it didn't really drone much thanks to the J-pipes.

I think this really hits the sweet spot for a lovely sounding v6. Probably won't get turbos for this car ever. Roots blower much needed
