Black Beauty's, story begins in an emergency room at 2:30 a.m on a sunday morning in september, 2008. I just had surgery a week before, and experienced complications, by the time we arrived in the emergency room I had lost half the blood volume in my body, and had to have a blood transfusion. As I lay there not knowing at the time if I would walk out of there. I thought of the one dream I've had in my heart since I was a 19 year old kid of having an award winning street driven show car. The year was 1987, and I was in the Navy when I received the call my father had passed away with heart problems. We had planned on buying a car, and restoring it together when I got out. I had one year left. I still bought a car a 1969 camaro, and planned on restoring it in honor of my father. The car is currently under construction now, and will be Black Beauty's Beast. Where my dream takes an amazing turn is the next month when we are at a local Chevrolet dealer on October 13, 2008, and ordering a black 2010 Camaro SS for my wife, who has always loved my 69 camaro we had bought 1 month after we were married in 1988. We had been talking about this car since Chevrolet started talking about creating a new camaro based off the 69 camaro. There couldn't have been a more perfect first brand new car for my bride of 20 years. We received the vin. number, and was surprised we would have number 1772 off the assembly line. We had our first permagrin. My wife talked with me and said, knowing it would still be a few years before my old camaro would be completed, why not use her awesome car, and modify it, and go for my dream now, and do this together. I was overwelmed, and felt a peace in my heart I hadn't felt since I lost my father. On June 18, 2009 her new camaro rolled off the car transporter. My wife signed all the papers, was handed the keys, and became the owner of the Camaro that would become known as Black Beauty, and my dream of having an award winning show car began..... We were able to uncover the car ourselves, and our first mods were installed before we left the lot.... BBEAUTY personalized plate, and three ss emblems, one on each fender, and one on the passenger side dash old school style locations. We left the dealership, and had the windows tinted all on the same day.

Children getting in on the action, and becoming Jr Judges. They are tougher than the adults, probably because they can bend down further LOL. Honestly, this was the best part of the whole show for me. Watching those kids touched my heart, and I understood what we're doing at these shows. Passing the torch of love for the automobile to the future generations of this world. It makes it all worthwhile for my wife, & I. It gives my dream a meaning, and a calm in my heart for when I'm gone maybe I will have the peace of knowing I did leave something good behind.

The Carl Casper 50th Anniversary Custom Carshow In Louisville KY. was BB's first showing for 2013. It started out rough. As you all know, we drive her to every event she attends, although trailering her to this event did cross our minds. It had snowed some the day before ,and was forecasted to rain part of the day. I had spent a solid week detailing her from top to bottom. I almost cried when I had to pull her out of her car condo into a rainstorm but thats the life of a road warrior. She was trashed. She completed the HOT ROD POWER TOUR in 2012 a whole week on the road, and 3,000 miles round trip, and didn't look like this. I mean I got to see what she would look like brown. She had been touched by dirt, and mud in places she hadn't been touched before. So you get the picture. When we arrived it was bath time. We pulled in at 9:00 a.m., and had to have her ready to show by 4:00. We finished her at 3:30. I have to admit she looked liked she belonged on a hotwheels track. We were in a hotwheels display with members from the Music City Camaro/ Central KY Camaro Clubs. Brian,Phil,Donnie,Dave, who had both his camaros there including the real Hotwheels Edition Camaro, and myself Jeff, AKA
(The Camaro Whisperer) By the end of the weekend everyone in our display had won awards. Although Black Beauty didn't win her class, she placed second. Donnie my best friend, won 1st place which was still a win for me. Black Beauty still soared to the top at this show by capturing the International Show Car Association 2013 Street Achievement Best Modern Muscle Car of the Show Award. Now how sweet is that.

My wife's love for me enabled me to live out my dream of owning an award winning camaro. Although Black Beauty was her first new vehicle she shared it with me.Through her patience, and understanding of what I was trying to achieve, her support, and willingness to give up some things she wanted for awhile, I was able to achieve my dream. This camaro has by far been the best car I have ever owned. Black Beauty has been an everyday driver, a dragrace winner, a super chevy dyno contestant, led a parade,been on the oval at Indy, won numerous awards, a contender any where she goes, became a Hot Rod Power Tour Long Hauler, driven to every event she attends, played Rudolph The Red Nosed Camaro, been a Hot Wheels Camaro for a weekend, pictured in a magazine, featured in a video interview for a gulf coast automotive show, used as a vacation car, attended a wedding as the bride, & grooms car. She has been driven in rain, sleet , snow, ice, and mud while encountering nails in her tires, an oil leak, an electrical problem,a water leak, a scratched wheel, had one rocker panel gouged, railyard dust embedded in paint, Been stuck in gravel at a rivers edge while on the power tour, (don't ask), road rash on her nose while on the power tour so bad it had to be repainted,She is loved by many, hated by few, and respected by most because of her achievements. She is truly a modern day hot rod. She will be used as our 25th wedding anniversary vehicle in April, and will get to put her wheels in the sand, & see the ocean for the first time. My wife, and I met, & fell in love on a beach, how appropriate for us to celebrate our silver anniversary there. I have been blessed to have had two beauties in my life, and Tammy I've always told you one day, I would tell the world how much I love you, and within in this story, and all the carshows we've attended, and people we've met, and friends that have become our family, all the road trips together, through the community of Camaro 5 , & Gods presence within our marriage. This is my world, and I love you with every ounce of the blood of christ that runs through my veins. I always have, and always will. You Tammy are my angel waiting on wings. Thank you.

Tammy, you always kid with me, and tell me, even though Black Beauty belongs to you,you see me all over that car. Everytime you look at her you think of me. That is how I intended it to be, in case something ever happens to me. I want you to take her for a spin, & I will be riding shotgun with you, and you will know I'm there. The same way I knew my father rode shotgun with me that night at the dragstrip.
