Dang bro, as one who has been in an accident before in my life. Make sure you go to the clinic and have them check you out, even if you feel like you are fine. You can then state to the insurance you were treated by a doctor. I got 2400 for my accident for pain and suffering but now they don't call it that anymore. And I felt fine after I was hit also.

Usually a few days later you will start to feel sore. You have a time frame to settle. Good luck what ever you decide to do.
