I GOT MY CAMARO TODAY - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

After what seems like a thousand years, I finally got my car, not however because I had it on order or anything of that type. I had given up on getting a car for a reasonable price. So I gave up and decided to wait. I was on every dealer list in Las Vegas, but these guys were for the most part uping the car 5 to 10K and that was in my opinion absurd. I even contacted GM directly and they resonded with well it is what it is and we are sorry but....
So as I have now said 3 time, I gave up.
Today I was at a dealer ship looking at mustangs and the camaro gods must have know I was doing just that, As I sat with the salesman my phone rang, it was a number I did not know. I answered and the person on the other end said hey this is Mike and you are on a list for camaros, I have one and I think you should come take a look. I mumbled something about pricing and he said no we wont do that, RIGHT, never the less I left the mustang at the altar and shagged over to the chevy dealer. When I walked in there is sat, Black with ornage and black interior, rs package with a V6 and a manual 6 speed. It was perfect, shiny, so I found the guy who called me, he is an Elvis impersonator by night, sort of looked a bit like elvis, but he is a nice guy.
He got the keys, I sat down and said, get me out of my Audi, and make the numbers right and I am out of here with this beauty. 30 minutes later they were taking it off the floor, to give it a bit of a buff and 2 hours later I was on the highway doing 70 at 28 miles per gallon, In my audi that I traded it would have been 10 mpg. The car rides like perfection, it handles very crisp and goes, well I smoked the tires leaving the dealership, I think they like it as they were all giving high 5 signs.
On the drive home about 30 miles, it was really neat seeing all the folks gawking at the car, inflated my ego until I realized it was the car not me they were looking at, how sad is that.
Amazing ride, great inside and a nostalgia form many years ago when I bought the first camaro in 1967 for 1300 bucks brand new,
I will post a few pics if people want them but something tells me that this group has seen em all. But it does live in LAS VEGAS so its special ok not really but it is sweet.

Went to see Transformers 2 at the drive in, it was cool to be in a bumble bee, in black.

Findlay Chevrolet, The sales man is Mike Chance, a super nice guy, I even met one of the owners, Patrick Findlay. These guys were NO HASSLE, they did the deal really straight up. They had the car ready in a short time, heck even Christian in finance was a good guy. Here are the details.

They dont have any camaros sitting around but I would buy a car from these guys again no issues. Suffice it to say that I have visited all the other dealers in Las Vegas, and to the point, I did not buy a car from the other folks.
