The '70 Camaro did not come standard with a spoiler. It was a option that was a small one piece spoiler designated RPO D80 (price, $32.65). Later in the year, the 9796 COPO system option was available. It was the larger three piece spoiler.

The '70 RS option did not include a spoiler.

Check out this place, you may find what you need.

My 70 was three piece. Check the Camaro history and it should show the spoilers.

The COPO 9796 3-Piece spoiler was available after April 20th, 1970 as optional equipment. It is the better looking of the two spoilers in my opinion but it would not be "technically correct" if your car was built before that date.

If you can find the original build sheet, sometimes under the back seat, on top of the gas tank, or even behing one of the kickpanels, no theres no real way to tell. Heres a front shot.

The kick panel is below the dash where the vents are just ahead of the doors. they used to stick the build sheets behind them as they were assembling the car. They are held in place by four phillips head screws and are easy to remove. The wheels are American Racing TorqueThrust II. 17-9.5 front and 17-11Rear. The tires are Sumitomos for now, I plan to replace them with BF Goodrich.

Check on E-Bay, Craigs list etc. Sometimes they have sets that people have taken off to either return to stock or have a different style put on. Good luck on your project, sounds like it will be fun!
