Brembo GT Brake Upgrade
Has anyone thrown the massive 15" GT brakes on their car yet? If so how are they? Thinking about doing it but want to make sure they are worth $7500.

We have had numerous local customers very pleased with any of the Brembo upgrade kits we've sold them. We have sold a couple of the complete GT front and rear kits, but more than anything we've promoted the Brembo caliper upgarde kit. That kit is a much better alternative than the CTS-V system that alot of the guys are running. The benefits are endless and they're topped off by actually having a manufacturer warranty on the new kit as opposed to bolting on some other GM parts and losing that portion of your coverage.
It's all opinion obviously but our vote is definitely for Brembo parts 1000%. |

Yea but the rotors on the GT system are superior, due to them being cross drilled, two piece and an inch larger.

So buy a set of two piece cross drilled rotors instead of CTS-V rotors. Simple.

There are other benefits as well. You have to consider vien direction, vien count, material thickness, overall diameter and even the specific metal content of the rotors before you can simply say a two peice is better. The costs involved with making REAL performance rotors goes way up when the quality of that rotor is used for true performance instead of just a street car. Cheap rotors are very soft and wear out quickly.
The Brembo aftermarket kit takes these things into account as does the AP Racing systems. Plus piston size, pad shape, pad thickness and bias all come into play as well to balance a brake system. Just because it fits doesn't mean it's right. |

What's the price on that full GT kit? I would love the brake upgrade.
