APR Carbon Fiber Splitter Installed

I just finished installing the APR carbon fiber splitter. It was a Christmas gift from my wife…I have a great wife. I have not seen very many of these installed on a Camaro. I never really cared for the look of the support rods, so I spent some time trying to figure out how to securely mount the splitter without using the support rods. After a bit of engineering time, I determined that I could utilize the two bolts that secure the fascia to the chassis and some 3M, VHB tape to secure the splitter. It seems to have worked out pretty well and feels very secure. The quality of the piece is very good. Not sure about the APR sticker…will probably remove that.

It is Camaro specific. Pre-drilled for the back side of the fascia, (where the rubber air dam is mounted).

Looks great just like mine, Tho i think you should install the two braces, at high speed the wind pushes the splitter down and not function properly..... here's how i did mine

Last time I checked, this isn't NASCAR.

By using the two fascia mounting bolts to mount the splitter, it makes it very ridged, so it shouldn't flex much at normal speeds. If I was going to run it 100+ MPH, I would probaby reconsider using the rods.
