Also they never had a gen 3 yellow pad. They switched to the green pad when the third generation came out. If there is a plastic ring around the velcro backing which there was on the yellow pads they are the gen 2 pads. What color is the backing plate also?

Yeh theses are gen 2 i just looked at front design not rear. As far as i know u cant buy gen 2 pads and they closed out on gen 3 pads almost which buying new leaves only the gen 4 pads which are 12.95 each and 25 for back plate plus around 15 to ship. Thats close to 90 bucks.
