Yes, a converted L99 will do well with this also...you just have a bit more piston to valve clearance due to that valve relief in your pistons, and therein a hair less compression.

Yes sir, completely stock engine other than the camshaft, and of course the dyno headers and intake setup we run on anything that dynos.

what set of heads would give max Horsepower gains with this cam? I need details, do you recomend a certain milling/chamber size , compression etc... i really want a maxed out N/A setup without cutting valve reliefs. I plan to spray it with a 150-200 shot after the heads and cam...

Those would be my choice for a stock bottom-end combo with this cam! We can get you even better piston to valve clearance with those, and a nice little bump in compression over stock as well!

Call me crazy, but I don't see much of a difference between the two cams. Maybe a few hp up top with a small loss on the bottom end..

About 10hp up top from what was previously the largest cam we would recommend without absolutely destroying clearance....that's a nice chunk, in my opinion!

For my L99, could the grind be adjusted to make up for that lack of compression?
Sorry if that's a stupid question.

I agree 10hp is a nice gain, that cam did what you would expect to the torque curve, lost a little here gained a little there, looks like it would be nice trade off though, the loss down low wouldnt affect ET, and the car would definitely go down the track faster with the extra power up top. Driveability would be the only sacrifice I can see.

I assume that the seat to seat timing is a little slower on the 235 lobe than the 231 lobe, to gain the extra valve to piston clearance? Did you bolt the aftermarket heads on this engine with this cam?

Thanks for sharing the dyno results btw.

How would a 3000 stall converter work with this cam?

my best guess is it would work very well with it.

The 255cc heads were on it for a few pulls and it makes just under 600 flywheel hp. 597 I believe . The 255cc heads move right at 370 cfm so it probably would have even gone farther with a nice intake upgrade!
