Wisconsin Camaro Club Interest

For those in Wisconsin interested in getting a club started please go fill out this form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XAy...GenxU/viewform

It will help to keep in contact, without having to sift through tons of threads and posts.

Right now we have about 6 people confirmed interested. We just have to come up with a name and start getting the word out.

I will, along with CBuchak2000, will try to keep everybody in the loop. As we figure things out, we will send out e-mail updates. Once we have a name figured out, we can also set up a Facebook Group and/or a free forum to keep track of events and what not.

IDEAS FOR NAMES:

  1. Wisconsin Camaro Club
  2. Badgerland Camaro Club

What about a simple Wisconsin Camaro Club or Wisconsin 5th Gen?

Wisconsin Camaro Club and Wisconsin 5th Gen are both good. Badger Bowtie Brigade is also good. I am a Landscape Architect and we have several very talented graphic artists at work that could probably come up with some good Logo ideas if we settle on a name. Maybe we could get some T-shirts or something along those lines made if we can all reach a consensus.

Just thinking something catchy. Simple is always good, but was just trying to see whats out there. We will go with what the majority like. One idea, if we do something broad, we can also have mini groups(clubs) in the main club. Just a thought...

Badger Bowtie Brigade is kind of cool too. I think going with something without "5th Gen" is the best though. It allows us to expand to add any generation camaro, and if we go something "Bowite" related, we could always invite all Chevys (Corvettes, Camaros, Chevelles, Novas..etc)

Of course these are just ideas. That is why I'm trying to find a time when we can all meet, so that we can get everyones input and throw ideas back and forth.

Understandable. (Just trying to see if there is anything out there thats not the same as everyone else, but don't want it to be to the point of being "cheesy.") So if we lean to the simple side, what is everyone prefer, 5th Gen only, all gens or mix...corvette/camaro?

My vote would be to obviously focus on Camaros first, but i'd be more than happy to have a variety of Chevrolet Muscle in the mix. I think anyone with Camaro, Vette, Nova, Chevelle etc.... would be great to include.

I think we should start small and grow over time. Trying to do too much and to be too inclusive too soon will kill the whole idea from the start.

We start off with a huge disadvantage to a club like C5G. Metropolitan consolidation. It's much easier to coordinate events and to participate in them when everything is localized and most members are relatively close to one another. Even if we were the South WI club and not a full state club, that's a lot geography to cover with members potentially spread out like holes in Swiss cheese (Sorry for the analogy but I couldn't resist).

It sounds like there is interest for some sort of WI Camaro club (at least amongst of 5th Gen owners). I think 1st step should be to actually choose a place and time to meet, get to know each other a little better, throw out ideas and find out who's available to help out with club and event coordination.

I don't think we would get many Corvette owners that would be interested. There's a huge SE WI Corvette club that's been around since the '70s which I'm sure would be more appealing to them.

I think we should start with 5th Gens (with an open car door to any other appropriate bowtie owner if they were interested) and then grow to be more inclusive if it fits with everything. With too much diversity you start to dilute the membership connections.

Makes sense! So 5th gen it is to start. Now we just have to gather. I can definitely see your points Ray.

I'm interested, but I don't know how often I'll be able to participate living so far away :(
