I am still waiting on my build to finish up but I will step up and say that nothing but the best has been installed on my car and here is a pic of the RX can with custom look and customer service is the BEST, period.

This is a common misconception that even most vendors & tuner shops don't understand. Lots of science & engineering goes into designing one to function properly....but Ebay and internet sites are full off simple fluid overflow cans with a couple fittings stabbed in and call the oil separating catch cans.

Please explain what bad thing happens with any decent off the shelf catch can. They all catch a large portion of the oil. Is a microscopic amount of oil in the intake tract going to do something terrible?

You should look for my thread called "Excessive oil in the PCV system". Read the thread.

Oh and near the end when you see what's normal, consider that amount going through your intake every 2600 miles for the life of your engine. The other thing to consider in that thread, is my car is a daily commuter car. It's not driven very hard. The harder you are on the engine the more oil you'll have.

I wouldn't trust my car to a soda can and two straws.

The Elite works well and is quality in construction. A little small so it lets some oil through, but does a great job overall. In fact before designing my own I used to use and sell the Elite and then the Mike Norris (after the home depot plastic air compressor units).

When designing the first versions of the RX cans, I bought every brand and typ I could find (yes, plenty were the awesome looking E-bay units that worked very poorly) and did the testing I describe above. This allowed me to see where others fell short, and where they excelled and I have revised & redesigned my designs several times to arrive at what you see today. The best possible blend of function, looks, features, and cost to produce so it could be priced so the general market would find it a good value.

I also have built 1/2 gal units that incorporate a condensing media and several more chambers that is the ultimate....but does NOT fit under the average cars hood and only the hard-core road race guys buy these. I also offer a dual unit that combines a diry side & a clean side unit side by side.
