stainless power inspection failure
Last year I installed Stainless Power LT headers and cats, and today my car failed inspection. They said the cats are supposed to have markings on them (date of manufacture, and some other stuff), and mine had no markings at all. I live in Virginia. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

No long tube headers are legal on a 2010 to start with . IF THEY LOOK ,YOUR COOKED. This is not news to anyone . Green cats that are much more expensive may have the numbers/markings .

Keep on going to different places till someone doesn't look. That's what I had to do.

Just go to a different inspection station. Luckily, I live in the part of the county that doesn't require inspection. But friends who do require inspection go to stations that only test for emissions and don't actually look at the under carriage of your car.

Never had anyone in northern va look, where did you go? A dealership? They probably just want to sell you new cats for $1500. LOL
Go to a gas station where they no speaka da english. |

The only problem with another station may be that "rejected" sticker on the window.

Glad I don't live in VA....... move north to DE, then you can get rid of the front tag too!!!!!! plus they stopped testing exhausts for noise level too!!!!

I live in VA and you remove that rejected sticker before you get to El Heffe's shop.
Technically any modification to factory exhaust other than to repair damage is illegal in VA, that includes cat and axle backs.

Blah! I have SP headers and mine passed inspection this year. I took it to a place as described above though lol. Took about 10 minutes in and out.
