Project 500 HP

Main target before purchased my 2010 Camaro (manual) was to get them in the range of 500 HP at the wheels.

After installed JBA shorties, Volant CAI, GMPP Exhaust and Noweeds Cutouts I did a first dyno run.

Cutouts open = 394,7 HP at the wheels.

I have just ordered now additionally:
MTI Camshaft Stage 3
MTI Dual Springs
102mm Throttle body and intake manifold
SLP Longtubes with cats
Custom Tune by Kraftwerk

Cylinder heads will be customized by a company called Kraftwerk.

Keep you updated.

Whats your opinion on that? Do you see it realistic to get the car close to 500 HP at the wheels without a blower?

It is very tough to do 500whp naturally aspirated with an LS3. Usually the cams to do that are so big that drivability kinda sucks.

Why did you choose shorty headers instead of longtubes?

I doubt you will get 500 rwhp with only cam and bolt-ons. Good luck and keep us posted.

Its not only a bolt on. Cylinder heads will be modified and custom tuned by a German company. LTs died this minute... a bit to noisy for German TÜV purposes.

Magnaflows with LTs are nice and quiet... a little drone though

Mechanical work started yesterday and will hopefully be finished on Thursday.

On Pic 2 you can see the original cylinder-outflow (hope thats the correct wording) . Pic 3 shows it after they were overworked. No edges = smoother flow = HP increase.

All channels in the head will be enlarged and the valve seats will be moved a bit to get a better cylinder-filling.
