Wait for Vararam or....

So im kind of in a dilemma..i want to get an intake done to add some power, as well as increase MPG a tad while doing interstate driving- come to find out the vararam isnt compatible with 2012 models, and they need to make a new one..i cant decided on whether to wait..or but a CAI inc intake with a scoop and the washer bottle relocate kit...will be more than i really want to pay for an intake setup..but i cant really decide right now on which to do..

what would you guys do?

Maybe look in the market place for a few used CAI Inc CAIs? I remember seeing a black one up for sale not too long ago.

As much as I like my Vararam, the original units had their share of issues. Based on the comment you got, it will most likely be a while. I'm also not sure If you'd want the first batches/versions of the 2012 intake when its released. It usually takes several versions before they get everything worked out.

But, Vararam has always stood behind their product. They will refund your money, if you are not completely satisfied.

I had my original unit (1st original waiting list back in the Spring of 09) replaced with one of their newer units at no cost. So I'm a pretty big fan of Vararam.

I called CAI and they were awesome! He told me they were working on it as fast as they could and I've already preordered it. If you want to be the first you have to pay a little extra, that's just how it goes. I should have it in a couple weeks. They're making it a priority to get it out to people first. I also like how it doesn't count on the hood to make the seal. Injen, Vararam and CAI seem to be the most common I've seen people using on this site.
