2011 427LSX w/ Vortech YSi 957 RWHP

Thought I would re post this with dyno #'s and the full build in one thread.

Sorry it took so long to update, things have been crazy since the camaro 5 fest.

2011 Camaro SS with less than 800 miles on the odometer.

So here is the before and after dyno #'s

This is with only 17 lbs and NO METH on 91 octane. We will be switching out to a 88 T crank pulley and a larger intercooler from bell this fall. Shooting for 1100 to the tires.

Here is the engine dyno graph. This is without the supercharger. Not to bad for low compression and a boost friendly cam.

Ive never had a cog drive on my supercharger. Is it alot louder than belt drive? With that kind of power, figure you had to go cog drive to eliminate belt slippage.

Yes a COG drive is louder but in a good way as it screams at you. You have to COG drive for more boost and to eliminate belt slip.

Why a 9.6:1 compression? Most builders are using 9.1:1 on an LSX 427ci. with boost.

My understanding of this is less compression equates to less power / heat, but more boost to make up the power loss.

I dont like going lower on street cars. This way the car still has a good feel at lower RPM's. I have never had an issue running them here.
