Well I guess Splash Guards are going on

Camaro is almost 2 weeks old, put on 1150 kilometers and loving every minute of it. After giving the car a nice long wax job I noticed some unpleasent stone chips. I have about 3 small ones on the inside of the drivers side rear panel, 2 on the gills, and 1 decent, but not to big chip on the front bumper :( I have to bite the bullet and get the splash guards, I don't care much for the looks of them but I'd rather have that then getting all these chips. I never thought the paint was this thin, I hardly drove it on any "rough" roads and I avoided any gravel looking road. I guess it's just bound to happen. I am also considering getting my front bumper 3M clear braed. My question about the guards are

Do they need to be drilled in? Or can they just fit in? I never looked to see if there was pre drilled holes there, I'd much rather not have to start drilling holes in it as I will want to take the guards off If it's simple enough. And do they come in sets of 2 or 4? I hope you don't have to buy them in pairs.

They come as a set of 4.
As I recall they attach with 2 pre drilled holes in the wheel well and you drill 1 hole along the bottom of the fender. Hardware and directions are incl.
Front fenders just turn the wheels to make room to be able to get at the screws. Back tires I took 1 wheel off at a time, but you might be able to do it with them on. It was easy to do and they help alot.

I put mine on just using the factory pre drilled holes and the included adhesive pad. I didn't feel the need to start drilling on the car. I was able to do it without removing any of the tires. I just used a small socket with a screw driver bit in it.

Take a look at this product. I just ordered a set of these, since they look alot more subtle than the OEM ones. I'll post pictures of them installed once I get them.

Super easy install, as Revron said, it comes in 4 (2 front & 2 backs) painted to your body color. You do need to drill 1 hole into the plastic wheel well and 1 screw (optional) into the bottom of the fender. They do come with pre-applied double stick tape, otherwise they utilize your pre-existing holes and screws. I was really against the splash guards till I got a scratch in my rear fender, since then, no more scratches and you don't hear sand being kicked up as much : )

Yep, its an easy install. I took each wheel off just to make it a little easier. The GM splash guards fit very well, and (I think) look pretty good. I did go ahead and drill the holes (about six I think) just to make sure stay tightly fitted to the curves of the car.

You can put them on as stated above with the tires on and a small socket and bit. I chose to take the tires off and give the inside of the rims a good cleaning though. It was alot easier putting them on without the tires in the way.....

I got some installed and no more chips since. The drilling, 1 per guard is into the plastic part of the car so no risk of corrosion in the future. They ca be taken off if ever you want to ilstall side skirts, but as far as i'm concerned, it's a must to keep the car spotles, also, the car soes'nt get dirty as much when it goes through some water on the roadé Cheap, 200$ at the most.

I'm thinking of going with black splash guards with my victory red. Anyone else do this? Thinking it would go with the custom paint I have.
