Dealer Delivery (15Yr Old Getting his Car)

Couple more shots of the Camaro after Tint, but Before Stripes and GFX.

Ahhh to dream. Guys, remember when you got your first car?

I told him, Keep a 4.0 Grade point average and I'll buy you any car with in reason... He has a 4.3% Grade Point Avg.

What was I thinking.

And he must be thinking in this picture..... HOW KEWL AM I GOING TO LOOK PULLING UP AT SCHOOL IN THIS?

He has 6 months to go.

Oh this is a 20% TINT BTW. 1 Shade under Legal, looks dark in the shade.

i see a wreck in his future and as a teacher i can say if a child has a 4.3% grade point average than that school district is allowing to much extra credit to inflate grades and hopefully allow failing kids an attempt at passing.

And that's within reason!? He barely looks big enough to reach the pedals!

So much I could say, but it's not my place! To each his own I suppose.

Good for you for motivating him, and good for him for holding up his end of the bargain. Just make sure he's comfortable and isn't going to mash out until he understands the power of the car. I'm 25 and I'm still gonna do that. figure break it in on city streets and after about 1500-2000 miles the limits of the car should be pretty much engraved in his brain.

After that, time to take it to the track =)

Must take AP classes...extra credit would not calculate into GPA....

Good for you for motivating your son and placing an importance on his academics! Congrats to him for doing so well! I'm sure as a responsible student he will be a responsible driver. I drove fast cars at 16 and never crashed, but I also had a lot of practice and rules (from parents) to ensure my safety.

BTW I am also a teacher...

Hmm. To each their own, I suppose. I know I'm going to sound like an old fart (though I'm only 31), but I still think my son will get a nice, safe, reliable USED first car, but something that maybe he will have to learn to change an alternator on, or a water pump, etc. I learned so much from having to do such things on my own. My wife agrees, too. And it's not about money, either. I make 5x what my parents ever did. But I'm not buying my 16 yr old a 30k dollar first car. It may still be a cool car, but not $30k.

Congrats to your son. I would have made that agreement but held off until he was 18 or graduated. A little extra incentive to do well through the end of high school...

Hope you've got good insurance on it for a couple of reasons...1. Even smart kids do stupid stuff to fit in with their "friends" in high school. 2. Jealous kids at school are likely to key it or accidentally bump into it just because of what it is and what they don't have.
