The Challenger will win unless the guy driving it can't drive.

the rt has a good torque advantage, my guess is it would win over the v6 by a little bit. But the v6 camaro would put a hurting on any challenger v6.

CHallenger should win by quite a bit, alot are nipping at the SRT8s heels. Remember, you are taking a 400 pound difference, but also at least 60 more HP and the gearing is decently aggressive.Just from this site, Vipertomcat ran a 13.2 with just a cold air kit I believe and Speedy (I think?) ran a 13.4 stock in his 6 speed.

If the guy can drive the challenger it wouldn't even be a race.

Should not be close. THe R/T, while heavy, can run low 5 second 0-60 times....the 6 banger Camaro won't stand a chance.

Now put it up against the v-6 challenger. That would be a different story.

From insideline.com:
The 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T with its 375-hp 5.7-liter V8 and six-speed manual transmission accelerated to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds (5.5 seconds with 1 foot of rollout like on a drag strip), then reached the quarter-mile in 14.1 seconds at 100.8 mph. Seems pretty close to me.

Most testers have the R/T at 5.1 seconds from 0-60.

I have a friend who has a 2010 Dodge Charger 4 door which is pretty close in weight to the Challenger. The 5.7L Charger had 368 HP and 395 lb ft of torque and weighs 4085 lbs plus. Off the line my 3.6 V-6 6 speed auto stayed pretty close to the charger until he hit about 80. It was very evident the torque really makes the difference in getting that big car moving. Once up to about 110 the two cars were pretty close in acceleration but the Charger had opened a pretty big lead. The Charger is speed limited to about 150 to 152. I drove the Charger and it was not near as stable at speed as my Camaro. On a road with a lot of curves and lower speeds it would be a drivers race. On a 1/4 mile drag strip I'd say it would be the Charger by about 1 car length. I've driven the older 5.7 Hemi charger and new higher output Hemi and the new Hemi is definitely faster. A 2005 Hemi Charger and my V6 Camaro would be a drivers race. My V-6 Camaro weighs 3700 lbs with about 4 gallons of gas and 19" polished aluminum wheels. It would be interesting to see if a tune, exhaust and CAI would help my V-6 1LT Camaro close the gap. I still really like my Camaro but It definitely got spanked by the Charger. The Challenger would probably even do a better job.
