Chevy should add some more power to the ZL1!

I just read an article on yahoo saying that hellcat will have a six speed auto and the 392 will have the eight.

Camaro vs. Mustang vs. Challenger.

So setting the record straight is trolling? Seriously you call Mustang Folk fanboys when it suits you and then trolls when they don't. Face it, whichever car you own, or worse, "identify" with, there are situations where the "other side" gets the upper hand. It's why I love track days...win some, lose some, but always meeting fellow enthusiasts and having a blast.

A Tremec six-speed manual transmission is available on both 2015 Challenger SRT models alongside an eight-speed automatic as well. On the Hellcat model, the eight-speed can handle 30-percent more engine torque than any other eight-speed automatic in the Chrysler Group family.

But it doesn't have the right tires stock. A Camaro v6 RS has the same size but stickier tires than what is coming on a Hellcat model. With a 17-18" rear wheel and MT drag radial it might have a shot at beating a well driven stock 13' GT500 but those stock tires ain't getting it done. It has about a snowballs chance in hell pure stock. The SRT team is retarded for putting such a small all season tire on a car that weighs that much and is most likely going to have 500ftlbs of torque right off idle.

Let the computer handle the traction issues with it's LC and TC programming, and the car will run 1:80s 60' times just like the automatic 392s do presently with only 245s ,

But if the computer has to reduce enough power so that the all season tires on a Hellcat don't have any wheel spin it will be looking at well driven GT500's tail lights. Think what a 392 could do with super sticky 295s.

Not true these cars are fast off the line for such big cars. He is right leave the tc on and it grips and goes.

I agree it works well but if it had even better tires it would be able to apply even more torque off the line getting an even better 60ft. Point is that a stock one is not going to out run a well driven GT500 and part of the reason is the tires. Disagree? Come back to this thread in a couple of months and we will be seeing who is eating humble pie.

Problem is there are not that many well driven GT500 drivers out there on stock tires. Half the guys just blow them off. That's were the automatic comes into play. Easy to get off the line and hook. Everybody downplays the SRT8 models but even for their weight they run damn good times.

If we are comparing the cars then driver skill is taken out of the equation.

I don't think anyone would disagree that a auto 392 SRT8 runs well considering the weight.

Every track with a lot of long stretch and faster average speed will help the GT500 to record faster lap. That shows the GT500 can handle those tracks very well and win. But when you check shorter track, like Virginia Raceway, ZL1 is faster than the GT500. Moral of the story; ZL1 is better at taking corners/braking. You have to look at the big picture. But do not expect this from some fanboys.

The 1LE did a better time than the GT500 BTW. Hes posting one way info over and over, acting like a troll.

I can't even imagine what the Hellcat is going to cost the way Dodge does their pricing
