awesome write up. Just installed this exact setup tonight minus the blend mount. Not sure if they changed the wiring colors on the 2011 but i noticed my colors were pink (instead of red) and solid black for the ground.

Just my two cents and not being rude but with me being trained in speed measurement instruments (radar). I think owning a radar unit is pretty much useless. There are several ways to measure speed without a radar detector picking it up. Also unless the police is keeping the radar on unit at all times he isn't looking for a speeder, he just slowing down traffic. He's aware of such technology and has ways to avoid being detected by them. Not saying that radar detectors don't work but not sure they work good enough for the price of buying one. Good write up on it though. Love how it fits flush with the mirror.

I just used this write up to install My Valentine One in SUPRBAD. the blend mount is nice but like the OP said it's spendy. I used the power cord that was sold on the blend mount site. 0.50 12" cord. It worked great!!

Wow it's been awhile since this thread has had a reply. My setup has been working great and the V-1 Rocks!

Yep the Blend Mount is a few more bucks than I'd like to spend but the best one I have ever used. I've spent money on others and it was wasted dinero. I have a blend mount in my Tahoe and just move the V-1 back and forth as needed.

Thanks SSOOCH glad it worked for SUPRBAD.

Hey guys I am having a little trouble. Attempting to hardwire the v1. Went to radioshack and they did not have any fuse taps. The v1 comes with a t tap. I was wondering if anyone went that route. Do you need to use invisicord? Thanks guys.

When you use a Stealth Mirror Cord or Invisicord there is no need to remove the A-Pillar. You are using the mirror connector for the power source and not running a wire.

Thanks for the write-up. I installed my Escort 9500ix on the driver's side using the Camaro Visor Mounting bracket and the Stealth Mirror cord. It's great to not have a wire hanging down to your lighter plug and easier to not have to mess with your fusebox.

Just ordered the BlendMount and PowerTap wire. I didnt realize until I just read this that it may hang down lower and block the view some. Does anyoneone who mounted it below the mirror find it to be restrictive as far as view?

If the Blendmount doesnt work out to well I may have to go that route of the visor mount. Where did you get the visor mount? Found one here http://www.southerncarparts.com/cama...nt-p-2653.html

I prefer how you mounted it. The placement of the rearview is already to low IMO, so mounting next the the mirror is a better option for me.
