del inspections

Thinking to moving to DEL. How intense are the inspections?
I have Camaro with headers and hi -flow cats?
I have diesel truck with DPF removed?
I have 1962 Harley with no turn signals?
Will any or all pass?

Well.......depends on which county you are thinking of moving to........ since there are only 3 counties here, think of it this way...the farther north you move generally the tougher the inspection people are. at least that's what the public perception is...

I would say that your Camaro should be fine, as long as it has cats.....they will hook the car up to the "smog computer"...as far as noise, from what they tell me, they stopped checking that after the DMV was sued by a lawyer who got hit on his Harley after they made him change his exhaust.
Not sure about your diesel because I don't know what a DPF does.....I'm sure the tests are different than a gasoline engine.
Generally, with equipment such as turn signals....a good rule of thumb is...if it was manufactured with them, they will require you to have them, but due to fact it is a m/c and you can use hand signals......you may get away with that one.
The title book just states all new motor vehicles shall have them, it doesn't give a specific date range like other items such as a high beam indicator light on all motors vehicles registered after Jan 1, 1956.

At least you are helping me study for promotion...I'm an LEO..that's the only reason I am walking around with a title book.....lol

If this move isn't happening soon, I can always stop in at the inspection lanes while I am on day work in a couple weeks and ask one of the inspectors.

BEST OF ALL>>>>>> NO FRONT PLATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, I'm just a law breaker then because I have no front plate on my car here in Maryland.

They gotta catch me if they want me to put a front plate on.
