To mod or not to mod?

Does moding increase or decrease thr resale value of your car?

Dealers aren't going to care what you put into the car or not, it doesn't really help the resale value at all.

As soon as you mod resale value goes down. The more you mod the worse it gets . Just think about it . If am an looking for a used Camaro to buy and i see one that has allot of mods to the engine and drive train i know it was not a Sunday driver. It was road hard and how much life is left on the engine would be the question ?

Just do mods that are easily removable and can be taken off and sold for more than a dealership will offer. Intake, exhaust, wheels etc...

Hard to stop once you start, but it is your car so make it uniquely yours unless you plan to sell in a couple of years.

Mods do nothing to resale value to dealerships. Private party sales could be affected either way. I've traded in a lot of cars even a SRT4 with over 8k in mods and got NADA trade in value for it. Private party sales is a gamble if it's tastefully modded and the buyer was looking at doing that work anyway he might pay more. However many will feel the car was beat on and will not want it.
