WHIPPLE ON STOCK ENGINE??????
Can I install the 2.9l whipple on stock engine with stock headers?? I would have the Cat's deleted and use the stock exhaust. If I keep it on low boost will I be ok for a while or do I have to upgrade the drive shaft and torque converter right away? And will the stock headers hold up to the boost??

I don't have a whipple but I have a Maggie TVS2300.. my engine is stock with stock headers and stock exhaust, my engine is holding up great so far.. I'm running at 8#'s of boost. It's all about the tune, if you get your car tuned by a reputable person who knows what they are doing.. your car will last a long time.

You sure can! I would get it tuned By a good tuner. I used race proven motorsports in DE. I did put a blower cam in it also. They got we down at 747 rwhp and 627 rwtq. with 11 psi boost. That's about all you want to go on a stock block before it goes boom.

That can be fixed with smaller rims and some Mickeys. Actually what is the smallest rim you can put on a stock SS. I heard it was 18inch but I'm not sure.

Pretty sure you can get a 16 inch on there but a lot of people run 17's. You will be happy with both just have to decide which one.

Do you have any recommendations as to where to buy these rims. i figure I'll need alot more traction to get moving quickly. Either way if I get TT or whipple I'll need better tires. |
