What clutch would you recommend?

Hi Everyone: I am at 28k with my stock clutch and feel it going. I have a cam motion sc cam, slp tvs 2300, lt's, etc etc. at about 650 rwhp. Any comments, suggestions are appreciated. Also, anyone know of a good place in the North Atlanta area to get it installed? Thank you.

We install at least 1 McLeod RXT a week into customer cars. Love them.

Everybody is going to say what they run. I would listen to some of the shops either here on C5 or call around and talk to them, see what they like.

Personally I run a Mantic9000 I bought it slightly used. Put 700 miles on it, it went out, Mantic replaced the whole thing with new parts. As of last month, I just had it rebuilt. So so far, I'm not too impressed. Its got a slight bit of chatter, but that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is, that it needed to be replaced when I first bought it used, I mean it was surprising the clutch was in great shape. But to have to get it rebuilt after a year of it, that's a disappointing.

Mantic or RXT are great choices.

My perferred clutch would be the clutch packs in an 4l80 with a nice stall. Can't beat that for speed/reliability.

+1, had the same issues with a brand new one and they sent replacement parts and the same thing happened, the original pressure plate didn't have enough clamping pressure for the weight of the Gen5, they added 30% more clamping pressure to the newer ones I have been told which I'm sure helped, but I got rid of the one I had.

I did too, until the weights came flying off after just 800 miles on the thing, going with a Street Slayer Triple carbon next.
