Bent front fender?
I have a 2010 SS. Bought it used with just 5,000 miles on it, no accidents reported. I noticed when I first bought it that the passenger side front fender, where the bumper meets the fender, was slightly bent outward [check out the photo - it's the one on the right side]. I didn't really think much of it, but today while washing my car, I noticed if you look from the door area, it looks pretty janky. I looked in the wheel well and noticed right where the bent area is, there's a screw hole hidden behind the wheel well. But there isn't a hole in the wheel well for the screw to attach to, so I'm not sure how that would mount on there unless a hole was drilled. Is this something I could take to my dealer and have them fix up real quick? Or is it normal? I personally think it would be sort of weird to be normal, but I really don't know...
I did a search for this topic and didn't see anything that matched. Sorry if this has already been discussed previously. Thanks for the help! |

Your bumper cover is warped. They may have bumped into something.

That's what I was saying in my original post [sort of]. I can see the screw hole with nothing in it, but I don't see a spot in the wheel well for the screw itself. Is there any way it could have shipped from the factory without that screw? It appears to be aligned correctly. Just that one spot doesn't have a screw in it like it does on the driver's side. I understand that a previous accident isn't out of the question because a Carfax only shows so much, but I don't see any sign of damage where it would have caused the bumper to come apart like that.

Bent front fender?
It definitely didn't leave the factory like that. The entire cover was probably replaced or repaired.

Use one side wheel well to reference the other.Whats on one side should have identical on the opposite.

You say you bought it used. Maybe the previous owner had a drl harness installed and took it out when he sold it.

Of course, I understand that. The only thing that isn't the same is that one screw. But there's no hole in the wheel well for it. I really don't think it was replaced. But I guess I could definitely be wrong.

Hmm... I'm not sure. It belonged to an old guy, and considering it only had 5,000 miles on it, he obviously rarely drove it. Not too positive that an old dude would even know what a DRL harness is. But I guess anything is possible.

Does anybody know if this would be a quick fix for my dealer? I'd like to swing by there before work and get it fixed up. Not that it's a huge deal, but I still want it fixed.
