Great day today

I had mufflers installed on my car this morning. I went with the intentions of getting Flowmaster 40 series and was talked into getting Magnaflows. Not sure I am happy with the sound. Left the muffler place and was again talked into stopping at the store. The parking lot where the store was,was being repaved and I still decided to find a parking spot anyway. On my way out of the lot I clipped a curb and scraped half of my passenger side rear wheel then to top it off had to drive home in the pouring rain which was not in the forecast. So much for enjoying the first Saturday I had off all summer.

Yeah. The rim is pretty bad. I think the local dealer fixes wheels. I am going to call them on Monday.

I can not stand the sound of Magnaflows.

The best sound I have heard in the exhaust section are made by Corsa.

Man that is a bad day. But don't sweat it the rim can be fixed and exhausts can be changed.

I'm glad mine came with the NPP I love the sound.

I went back to the muffler place this morning and talked to the guy that installed my mufflers. He said he knew as soon as he started the car that the mufflers weren't loud enough. He took the car inside and removed the resonator and didn't charge me anything. It sounds better but I would still like it to be louder.

Flowmaster's drone on too much. MF's only get loud when you stand on it. More comfortable for everyday driving!

I can't hear myself think in my 69 Firebird, between the Flowmaster 40's and the Mallory fuel pump. Albeit folks tell me the car sounds wicked from the street POV.

So you did not like the sound of the NPP stock dual mode exhaust, even with a fuse pull?
Also, how does replacing the stock mufflers with Flowmaster or Magnaflow...or really any aftermarket one affect the dual mode?
Do you just pull the fuse when switching to aftermarket?
Also, does that mean no more dual exhaust tips too?

I didn't have the NPP exhaust. That is why I got new mufflers. I was thinking about getting the NPP and in hind sight I should have.
